Meet the Governors

Mrs Robinson

Chair of Governors

My name is Kelly Robinson, and I am the Chair of Governors. I have sat on the board for the last five years and took on the role of Chair in September. I’ve enjoyed my time on the governing board, learning how to best support and challenge the school. I sit on both of our committees: Curriculum and Standards and Finance and Premises. I visit the school as regularly as I can and am impressed most recently by how we are truly coming together as a community in this post-covid society. I’m an English teacher at St Bernard’s Catholic Grammar School, and I’m very proud to say my two daughters attend school here.

Mrs Nash

Foundation Governor

I joined the governing body in March 2018 as a parent governor. I have two children in the school, and as a former Our Lady of Peace pupil myself, I wanted to play an active role in supporting our school in achieving its vision and aims for continued success and improvement.
I have worked as an Educational Researcher for the last 18 years, evaluating the impact of educational policies across primary and secondary schools, and I have a good understanding of the ways that school work and the challenges they face. I am passionate about education, and believe that primary schools should inspire a love of learning within all children, as well as challenge them to fulfil their potential.

Mrs Hodges

Staff Governor

I have been working at OLOP since September 1994! I started as a Nursery Nurse in the newly opened Nursery class and since qualifying as teacher I have taught for several years each in both Early years and Year 1. I am married and have 2 boys (17yrs and 21yrs) who have both gone through this school. I am the school History lead and a member of the Chaplaincy team. I am new to the role of staff governor ( November 2019) and look forward to working closely with them to help the school move forward in their vision.

Mrs M Baldacchino

Foundation Governor

My name is Majella Baldacchino and my daughter is a pupil at Our Lady of Peace. I joined as a Foundation Governor in 2021 and I sit on the Curriculum & Standards and Finance & Premises committees.
I have worked in corporate roles (including sales, training, educational content creation and strategy) in the hotel industry for many years and I’ve been lucky to work with many cultures around the world. As much as possible I use the experience I have gained during my career in the governor role.
Our Lady of Peace has always had a wonderful reputation in the local area, and I want to support its continued success and help to ensure it fulfils its vision.

Mr A Adeyemi

Parent Governor

My name is Adebola and I teach law at Durham Law School, Durham University. I am also a qualified UK Solicitor. I teache climate change & policy, and corporate governance at Durham Law School.
I am the environment champion at the law school leading the conversation and efforts to promote sustainability. I have previously worked in commercial law firms but now concentrate on training the next generation of lawyers. While in legal practice, I have advised on commercial law and information technology law.

I serve on the Board of two companies as Non-Executive Director.

As a Parent Governor, I hope to work with other Governors to support the School to meet its objectives and to continually promote the values of the School.

Mrs Cijo

Foundation Governor

My name is Blossom Cijo. I have been an active parishioner at Our Lady of Peace since 2012. I am proud to say that both my children attended Our Lady of Peace Primary School, and then went on to further their education at a Catholic Grammar school (now age 19 and 12).

I was educated in a convent school and graduated from a Catholic college. I cannot emphasise enough the Catholic school values of equality, love and service which have left lasting impact throughout my life.

I have worked for a few companies including multinational companies in HR and Administration before I decided to take a career break in order to care and nurture my family. As a Foundation Governor along with other Governors I would like to bring my faith and skills to guide the school to maintain and grow in its unique faith Character and provide school education to children for years to come.

Mrs B Nagle

Parent Governor

My name is Bernardine Nagle. I am a mum of three and my eldest daughter attends Our Lady of Peace. The school has a wonderful supportive community and a distinctive Catholic ethos, which I am proud to be part of.

As a chartered accountant, I have worked in a variety of business roles, including in the media, fashion and utilities industries. My expertise is primarily in Budgeting, Forecasting and financial analysis.

In my role as Parent Governor and also Chair of the Finance and Premises committee, I hope I can use my business acumen skills to support the continued success of the school.
