Meet the Governors

Mrs Anne Bishop

Parent Governor and Chair

I have been a parent Governor since September 2016 and Chair of Governors since March 2018. I have 2 children who attend the school and attended Our Lady of Peace as a child and am passionate about the success of the children and staff within it. I have worked as a teacher since 2001, undertaking a range of leadership roles in a variety of schools. I believe all children should have the opportunity to succeed and strive for excellence during their time at school and am committed to supporting and challenging the Leadership team at Our Lady of Peace to achieve this for our children. I am proud to be part of the Governing Board which shares the vision and values of the school and works in partnership with you and the staff to ensure that every child can reach their full potential.

Mrs J O'Keeffe

Headteacher, Ex-Offico Governor

I have been married for 35 years and have four grown up children and three grandchildren.

Before pursuing a career within education I was in the profession of banking and was a professional Ballroom and Latin American Dancer.

I have worked in education for 19 years and I have had the opportunity to work in a range of different schools in three local authorities, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire, taking one school from good to outstanding.
I became Headteacher of our Lady of Peace Infant School in September 2013. In 2014, I was asked by the local authority and the governors to be executive Headteacher of the junior school and on 1st April 2016 became the Headteacher of the newly formed primary school, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Nursery & Primary school.
I am very passionate about my faith and education and believe that every child should be nurtured and guided to reach their full potential on their faith journey toward God.

Mrs Jacky Cope

Clerk to Governor


I have 7 years’ experience as Clerk to the Governors. I joined Our Lady of Peace in 2017.
I have also served as a school governor before working and gaining the national qualification in clerking.

Fr Andy

Foundation Governor

Fr Andy Richardson (Foundation Governor)

Fr Andy was born and raised in Luton and worked as a Chemical Engineer prior to becoming a priest. He was ordained for Northampton Diocese in 2008, and was the Assistant Priest in Kettering for four years before becoming the Parish Priest of Our Lady of Peace in Burnham. Fr Andy is the Parish Priest and is chaplain to the school. He a foundation governor.

Miss Prithi Mascarenhas

Foundation Governor

I have over 10 years of generalist HR experience in international organisations, and specialise in transformational HR projects. I have held HR positions across a variety of industry sectors such as Finance Services & Banking, Digital, Media, Travel & Tourism. I am also a trained mediator and coach. I currently work full time as a HR Business partner and volunteer as a leadership coach at a charity organisation. I joined Our Lady of Peace school as a foundation governor in 2017.

Mrs Amy Day

Foundation Governor

I am married with 2 children and my son has just started at OLOP. My daughter will be joining the school nursery in September. I am a qualified counsellor and I currently work at a Secondary school in Windsor. Before that I was a member of the Royal Air Force and worked in air traffic control before leaving to work in a private company operating and managing private jets.

I joined the board of governors in 2017 as I want to play an active part in supporting our school to help our children achieve their full potential.

Mrs Fiona Melvin

Staff Member

I have worked at OLOP school since 2006. I am an HLTA with a foundation degree in Primary Education. I am the French leader and teach the subject throughout KS2. My previous employment includes: civil service, Women's Royal Navy and airlines

Mrs Mary Flannery

Associate Member

I am a retired School Business Manager having performed that role from1989. I obtained my qualification in 2000 having attended a 2 year part-time Course at Lincoln University.

I am a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish since 1967 and in the 1970 and 1980’s my children were pupils at Our Lady of Peace School.

I was Chair of Governors of Our Lady of Peace Junior School from 2007 until its amalgamation with the Infant School in 2016.

In 2017 I became an Associate Governor and have been asked by the Governing Body to support new governors and use my experience to offer guidance to Committees and Governors Panels.

Mr Marcel Devereux

Associate Member

I am an ex pupil and am married with two daughters, both who have gone through both schools from 2004 - 2014 and really enjoyed their times here.
They have gone on to Burnham Grammar and St Bernard's Grammar schools.

I started as a Governor in the infant school in 2006 and have been involved in the finance committees ever since starting the role.


I recently have undertaken the role of parent rep link and if ever required, would sit on appeal panels.

I am a full time inflight supervisor for a major airline.

With a background in finance & mortgages, I joined Our Lady of Peace Infant & Nursery School in 2004 as the Bursar. I worked across both the Infant & Juniors Schools over the years until I project managed the amalgamation of the two schools to become one primary
I have successfully completed the Certificate in School Business Management (CSBM) in 2008, the Diploma in School Business Management (DSBM) in 2012 and I am AAT qualified. I am a member of the Senior Leadership Team and responsible for the daily operational management of Finance, Human Resources, Premises and Health & Safety.
Being an ex-pupil and a mother of 3 sons who attended the school, I am passionate about the welfare of our staff, pupils and the future of our school. Using my skills, knowledge and expertise I strive to achieve best value and contribute towards a learning environment which is warm, exciting and motivational.

I have 15 years of working in education. I have experience of both K.S.1. and K.S.2.

In 2012 I completed a Masters Degree in Education and am very much interested in academic research.

I am passionate about ensuring that each child achieves their full academic potential as well as helping to guide them on their own spiritual journey.

I joined Our Lady of Peace Catholic Infant and Nursery School in September 2015 as one of the new Assistant Head teachers on the Infant site. Over the eleven years that I have been in Education, I have taught in Early Years, KS1 and KS2 and have led alongside the Head teacher in two different Infant Schools in Buckinghamshire. I also achieved the National Award for SEN Co-ordination & a PGCE in SEN a number of years ago, working as a SENCO in both Infant schools too.

I have a passion for education and have always loved working with the children – every day is different! I have also been a staff Governor and an Associate Governor, enjoying seeing the school run from an alternative stakeholder perspective. I am passionate about developing the children’s love, prayer, respect and learning within our school.

Parent Governor

I joined the governing body in March 2018 as a parent governor. I have two children in the school, and as a former Our Lady of Peace pupil myself, I wanted to play an active role in supporting our school in achieving its vision and aims for continued success and improvement.
I have worked as an Educational Researcher for the last 18 years, evaluating the impact of educational policies across primary and secondary schools, and I have a good understanding of the ways that school work and the challenges they face. I am passionate about education, and believe that primary schools should inspire a love of learning within all children, as well as challenge them to fulfil their potential.

I joined Our Lady of Peace Primary School in September 2004. During my teaching career, I have predominantly taught in Year 6. I enjoy the challenges and opportunities that arise from this important transitional year in a child's education.

I am a member of the school's Senior Leadership Team. I am Curriculum Leader, Phase Leader for Upper Key Stage Two, Year Six Leader and Computing Leader. I am also a Year 6 class teacher. I have served as an associate governor for a number of years.
