I joined the governing body in March 2018 as a parent governor. I have two children in the school, and as a former Our Lady of Peace pupil myself, I wanted to play an active role in supporting our school in achieving its vision and aims for continued success and improvement.
I have worked as an Educational Researcher for the last 18 years, evaluating the impact of educational policies across primary and secondary schools, and I have a good understanding of the ways that school work and the challenges they face. I am passionate about education, and believe that primary schools should inspire a love of learning within all children, as well as challenge them to fulfil their potential.
I have been working at OLOP since September 1994! I started as a Nursery Nurse in the newly opened Nursery class and since qualifying as teacher I have taught for several years each in both Early years and Year 1. I am married and have 2 boys (17yrs and 21yrs) who have both gone through this school. I am the school History lead and a member of the Chaplaincy team. I am new to the role of staff governor ( November 2019) and look forward to working closely with them to help the school move forward in their vision.
My name is Kelly Robinson. I’m a foundation governor and have been for the last two and a half years. Recently I took on the role of vice chair. I’ve enjoyed my time on the governing board, learning how to best support and challenge the school. I’m an English and RE teacher at St Bernard’s Catholic Grammar School; I love being a part of that community as well as the OLOP one. I’m very proud to say my two daughters attend school here.
Mrs A Razzak
My name is Aisha Razzak and I have 2 children attending the school. I have 15 years of experience working in the aviation industry. I take a keen interest in the development of all the pupils of the school. I look forward to be involved in the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
Mrs M Baldacchino
My name is Majella Baldacchino and my daughter is a student at Our Lady of Peace. I joined the board of governors in 2021 as I want to contribute to the school community.
I have worked in corporate roles (including sales, training and strategy) in the hotel industry for 19 years and have been lucky to work with many cultures around the world. I hope to bring some of the skills I’ve learnt during my career to the governor role. Our Lady of Peace has always had a good reputation in the local area and I want to support its continued success and help to ensure it fulfils its vision.
