Mrs Amy Day
Foundation Governor and Chair
I am married with two children who attend Our Lady of Peace . I am a qualified counsellor working in a Primary and Secondary school. Prior to that I was a member of the Royal Air Force and worked in air traffic control before leaving to work in a private company operating and managing private jets.
I joined the board of governors in 2017 as I want to play an active part in supporting our school to help our children achieve their full potential.
I joined the governing body in March 2018 as a parent governor. I have two children in the school, and as a former Our Lady of Peace pupil myself, I wanted to play an active role in supporting our school in achieving its vision and aims for continued success and improvement.
I have worked as an Educational Researcher for the last 18 years, evaluating the impact of educational policies across primary and secondary schools, and I have a good understanding of the ways that school work and the challenges they face. I am passionate about education, and believe that primary schools should inspire a love of learning within all children, as well as challenge them to fulfil their potential.
I have been teaching for over 20 years and during this time I have taught all age ranges from Nursery to Year 6. I am Co – Headteacher of a federation of 3 Maintained Nursery Schools in Windsor and Maidenhead. I also work for the local authority in RBWM supporting all schools with their early years practice.
I am married with 2 children and am passionate about nurturing and supporting children and their families. I have been an LA Governor at Our Lady of Peace since March 2019 and am currently the safeguarding governor. I believe it is important to give something back to communities and hope that I can share my skills to enable everyone and everything in the school to flourish.
I have been working at OLOP since September 1994! I started as a Nursery Nurse in the newly opened Nursery class and since qualifying as teacher I have taught for several years each in both Early years and Year 1. I am married and have 2 boys (17yrs and 21yrs) who have both gone through this school. I am the school History lead and a member of the Chaplaincy team. I am new to the role of staff governor ( November 2019) and look forward to working closely with them to help the school move forward in their vision.
My name is Kelly Robinson. I’m a foundation governor and have been for the last two and a half years. Recently I took on the role of vice chair. I’ve enjoyed my time on the governing board, learning how to best support and challenge the school. I’m an English and RE teacher at St Bernard’s Catholic Grammar School; I love being a part of that community as well as the OLOP one. I’m very proud to say my two daughters attend school here.

I am a proud single Mom with an amazing daughter, who is fortunate to be a part of Our Lady of Peace Primary School. This year, I am honoured to be appointed as a School Governor and just like every parent at Our Lady of Peace Primary School, I want the best for my child hence I can always bring a parents perspective to every meeting. I feel it is important that every child at Our Lady of Peace Primary School is happy, safe, confident and strive to become the very best they can be. I strongly feel that as parents we need to support the school in its journey to become outstanding. I bring lots of experience and I am positive these experiences can help the school grow to their full potential.
