Our Curriculum Statement

Curriculum statement

Here at Our Lady of Peace, we aim to provide an excellent, broad and balanced education to help our children grow to their full human potential, valuing and contributing to the formation of the whole person. We believe in providing a caring, optimal learning environment, built on Christian foundations, established in partnership with the home and parish.

At our school we endeavour to ensure that every member of our community is valued and celebrated and that they have respect for self, others, all living things and their environment; this is portrayed in our School Vision and Creed.

We offer a broad, balanced and relevant education to every child with equality of access to the Foundation Stage and National Curriculum.

We see all within our school as learners, making full and active use of all aspects of our optimal learning environment to develop creativity, thinking skills and emotional intelligence.

We use a positive approach to behaviour management, allowing individuals to take responsibility for their actions – nurturing high self-esteem and success.
