Design and Technology

The National Curriculum requirements are adhered to. Pupils are taught to develop their design and technology capability through applying their knowledge and understanding when developing ideas, planning, making products and evaluating them.

Pupils develop their design and technology capability through:
  • Thinking about what products are used for and the needs of the people who use them.
  • Planning what has to be done.
  • Working on their own and as part of a team on a range of designing and making activities.
  • Identifying what works well and what could be improved in their own and other people’s designs.

The pupils will draw on knowledge and understanding from other areas of the curriculum.
